Living Waters Church is a gathering of people who desire to know God, find greater personal freedom, discover our God-given purpose, and make a difference in our communities. Drawing members from Genesee, Livingston, and Monroe Counties, from every age and all around LeRoy, we love this region. Lives are being transformed by the presence and power of Christ in an atmosphere of loving encouragement. From this small town, the region and the nations of the world are being impacted by the good news of Jesus. Join us on the journey. God’s best is yet to come.
Founding Pastors Pete and Deb Miller came to LeRoy in 1984 with a calling to plant a Spirit-filled church in the heart of the village. What began as a small Bible study in their apartment grew into Living Waters Church, officially incorporated in 1986.
For years, the church met in various locations—including a storefront, another church, and even the old Jello Factory—before purchasing a mansion on Trigon Park and converting it into a worship center.
In 2001, Pastor Jack and Sandy Hempfling began leading the church. Under their leadership, Living Waters moved into the former LeRoy movie theater in 2005, creating a permanent and central home for the congregation.
Living Waters has ministered to youth through camps, conferences, and missions, and has supported outreach efforts in places like NYC, Guatemala, Cuba, Thailand, Kenya, Japan, and more.
Living Waters Church is affiliated with Elim Fellowship in Lima, NY—an international fellowship of pastors, missionaries, and ministries rooted in Pentecostal and Charismatic beliefs. Elim offers guidance, training, and support to churches like ours, encouraging spiritual growth and healthy leadership without control.

We believe in the triune Godhead as eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost and in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit as evidenced in charismatic gifts and ministries and in His fruit in the life of the believer. (Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Galatians 5:22-23)
We believe that water baptism by total immersion of a believer is an act of obedience to God’s command, visibly expressing one’s personal attachment to Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection to live in newness of life (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-5). We believe that only those individuals who have confessed Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. (Acts 8:36-37)
We believe that the Lord’s Supper, in which the members of the Church, by the sacred use of the bread and wine, are to commemorate together the dying love of Christ, is to be always preceded by solemn self-examination (1 Corinthians 11:26-28).
At Living Waters Church, we’re blessed with a dedicated team of pastors, leaders, and support staff who serve with humility, passion, and a heart for people. Each team member plays a vital role in helping our church family grow in faith, build community, and live out the love of Christ every day.
