About Our Connect Groups

What are connect groups?

Connect Groups are small gatherings where people come together to build community, grow in faith, and encourage one another—just as Hebrews 10:24 reminds us to. Hosts can choose the day, time, topic, and activity—whether it’s a Bible study, prayer group, shared meal, hobby, or game night. These groups offer a relaxed, meaningful way to connect and live out our faith together.

New Connect Groups Starting Soon!

Our next round of Connect Groups will open the week of February 1 and continue for up to nine weeks, concluding the week of March 29, just prior to Easter. Please pray about how God can use you and your idea to bless His Body.

A 5-week Bible Study hosted by Gary Hodonius. The sessions will be very practical, going over how the bible is structured, and with the main focus on how important and fulfilling regular quiet time with God can be. Location: Living Waters Church. Exact date/time is TBD based on what works best for those interested – potentially a weekday evening 7:00 – 8:00 pm.

Hosted by Heather Kimbriel at Living Waters Church on Fridays in February and March from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. Each person will purchase Bob Sorge’s devotional book, “Secrets of the Secret Place,” which focuses on renewed momentum – personal, intimate, and passionate relationship with the Creator of the universe. “The wisest thing you’ll ever do in this life is to draw close to God and to seek Him with all your heart.”

Dive into God’s word to study the holistic, big picture of healing. Hosted by Jeanne Nickerson, who herself has been healed of a brain tumor. Two session series on Saturday, March 14 and 21, both at 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Living Waters Church.

Hosted by Julie Caton at her home in Oakfield. Julie has a small indoor pool in her home and is opening it up to small groups at a time. This is ideal for families with small kids and groups of 2-4 people. She has a volleyball net for pool volleyball. Sunday afternoons work well for Julie, and you can coordinate the best time/date for each by speaking directly with Julie.

Learn how to make sea glass jewelry. Hosted by Elyse Nickerson at her home. All supplies will be provided. All ages welcome (kids should be old enough to handle pliers on their own). See Amy Nickerson for details.

Hosted by Bri Offhaus. This movie came out in theaters in December 2025 and is projected to be released to digital in February or March 2026. Bri will update the date and location once the release of the movie is confirmed. Open to all ages. Contact Bri with any questions.

Let’s face it, most of us go to the same service every weekend and sit in the same seats, surrounded by the same people, and yet, other than extending a welcome and an occasional handshake, we do not know much about them. With fellowship and getting to know others in mind, we will randomly be partnering people/families up with other people/families for dinner. Sign up as “Host” or “Guest” or “Eat Out.” Please include # people participating (individual/family/couple/etc). You will be contacted with assignments, and then each person/family group will coordinate their own date, time, and potluck dishes amongst yourselves. Contact Amy Nickerson with any questions.
